3. Grind barnyard millet separately to a smooth consistency. Mix it with the urad dal batter.

5. Grease idly molds with a little oil. Pour the batter into each mold.
6. Steam the idlis in a steamer for about 10-15 minutes until they are cooked through.
7. Once done, let them cool slightly, then remove from the molds.
