General Tso's Chicken is a popular American-Chinese dish known for its sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. It typically features crispy deep-fried chicken pieces coated in a flavorful sauce. Here's a recipe for General Tso's Chicken:

**Ingredients**:

**For the Chicken**:

- 1 pound (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup cornstarch

- 2 eggs

- Salt and black pepper, to taste

- Vegetable oil for deep-frying

**For the Sauce**:

- 3 tablespoons soy sauce

- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

- 2 tablespoons sugar

- 1 teaspoon cornstarch

**For the Stir-Fry**:

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)

- 2-3 green onions, chopped (separate the white and green parts)

- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

**Instructions**:

**1. Prepare the Chicken**:

- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch.

- Dip the chicken pieces in the beaten eggs, then coat them with the flour mixture, pressing the coating onto the chicken.

- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan over medium-high heat for deep-frying. When the oil is hot (around 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the chicken pieces in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

**2. Prepare the Sauce**:

- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sugar, and cornstarch until well combined. Set the sauce aside.

**3. Stir-Fry**:

- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

- Add the minced garlic, ginger, dried red pepper flakes, and the white parts of the chopped green onions. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

- Pour in the prepared sauce and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.

**4. Combine the Chicken**:

- Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce. Toss them until they are well coated.

**5. Serve**:

- Transfer your General Tso's Chicken to a serving plate, and garnish with the remaining green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Serve your General Tso's Chicken hot with steamed rice or noodles. It's a delicious combination of crispy chicken and a sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce. Adjust the spiciness to your preference by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
