Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells is a delicious vegetarian dish that's popular in many households across America. Here's a basic recipe to make this comforting and flavorful dish:

### Ingredients:

- 1 box (12 ounces) jumbo pasta shells

- 2 cups ricotta cheese

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1 large egg, lightly beaten

- 2 cups chopped fresh spinach (or thawed frozen spinach, squeezed dry)

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 cups marinara sauce

- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

### Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.

2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, chopped spinach, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

4. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with a generous spoonful of the spinach and ricotta mixture and place them in the baking dish in a single layer.

6. Once all the shells are filled and arranged in the baking dish, spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the top, covering the shells evenly.

7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted.

8. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly golden brown on top.

9. Once done, remove the stuffed shells from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired, and serve hot.

This dish pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread. Enjoy your Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells!
