Here's a simple recipe for making delicious prawn fry:
Ingredients:
- 500 grams prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 2 tablespoons oil (preferably coconut or vegetable oil)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust according to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another minute.
5. Add the cleaned and deveined prawns to the pan. Stir well to coat the prawns with the masala mixture.
6. Cook the prawns for about 5-7 minutes or until they are pink and opaque, stirring occasionally.
7. Once the prawns are cooked through, remove from heat.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
