ragi mudde

Ragi Mudde is a traditional and nutritious dish from Karnataka, made from finger millet flour (ragi flour). Here's a simple recipe to make Ragi Mudde:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup ragi flour (finger millet flour)
- 2-3 cups water
- Salt to taste

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
2. Once the water is boiling, add salt to taste.
3. Gradually add the ragi flour to the boiling water while continuously stirring with a wooden spoon or spatula to avoid lumps.
4. Keep stirring until the ragi flour absorbs all the water and forms a thick, dough-like consistency.
5. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes, allowing the ragi mixture to cook thoroughly.
6. After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly until it's safe to handle.
7. Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, then shape the ragi mixture into smooth, round balls, known as "mudde."
8. Serve the Ragi Mudde hot with your favorite curry or sambar.

Ragi Mudde is not only delicious but also highly nutritious, as finger millet is rich in calcium, iron, and dietary fiber. Enjoy this wholesome dish as a part of your meal!
