Cafe Au Lait ( Coffee with Milk

 

  • 1 cup of freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 1 cup of hot milk (you can use any type of milk you prefer, such as whole milk, skim milk, almond milk, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Brew a cup of hot coffee using your preferred method. For café au lait, a medium to dark roast coffee works well, but you can use any coffee you like.

  2. While the coffee is brewing, heat the milk in a small saucepan or using a milk frother until it's hot but not boiling. You can also heat the milk in the microwave if you prefer.

  3. Once the coffee is ready, pour it into your serving mug, filling it about halfway full.

  4. Pour an equal amount of hot milk into the mug, filling it the rest of the way. The ratio of coffee to milk is typically 1:1, but you can adjust it to suit your taste preferences.

  5. Stir the coffee and milk together gently to combine.

  6. If desired, you can add sugar or sweetener to taste. Some people also enjoy adding flavorings such as vanilla extract or cinnamon for extra depth of flavor.
